Quality Assurance Technician

RESPONSIBILITES

2 Shifts Available

1st Shift: 4:30am Until Finish $17-$18

2nd Shift: 3pm Until finish $18-$19

 

  • Must be able to work in cold and loud environment.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, possibly work 8+ hours Monday-Saturday.
  • Conducts pre-operational inspections.
  • Monitors employees GMPs and reports violators to production management.
  • Monitors CCP (Critical Control Point)
  • Initiates corrective actions to CCP deviations.
  • Performs marination / breading pickup calculations on marinated and breaded products.
  • Supplies production department with product labels.
  • Performs metal detector verification.
  • Monitors temperatures of cold storage and production rooms.
  • Receives ingredients according to company’s receiving policy.
  • Conducts Operational Inspections on daily basis.
  • Evaluates food safety issues and initiates corrective actions.
  • Collects samples per guidelines given by QA Supervisor.
  • Participates in product evaluation activities.
  • Places product on hold and initiates corrective actions to product and equipment non – conformances.
  • Maintains relevant food safety and product quality documentation.
  • Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, SSOP, SQF, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines.
  • Keep work area clean.
  • Responsible to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

• Quality experience in meat manufacturing environment and knowledge of FSIS / USDA regulations preferable.
• Demonstrate experience with internal and external quality audits.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced meat processing environment.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
