Machine Operator

RESPONSIBILITES

2 Shifts Available

1st Shift: 5:30am Until Finish $17

2nd Shift: 2:45pm Until Finished $18

 

  • Ability to work up to 12+ hrs from Monday – Saturday.
  • Assemble and take apart machines.
  • Operate the machine, monitor controls, adjust parameters such as sealing, vacuum, temperature,
    speed, and other controls on the machine.
  • Monitor processes to ensure product compliance.
  • Set up the code dates to be stamped on product packaging according to product specification
    (i.e. Best by or Sell by).
  • Track and record production (i.e. number of pounds/packages produced, lots used, etc.)
  • Inspect packages for defects, bad seals, accurate code date.
  • Monitor the operation and make equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Weigh and palatize boxes.
  • Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, FSI, SQF, etc.).
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards, report faulty equipment and hazards
    to management.
  • Responsible to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance technicians to troubleshoot and prevent machine failures, perform
    basic PMs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • Over 6 months of experience with tiromat or multivac machines.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical equipment adjustments to prepare the machine for work and
    operate the equipment.
  • Disposition to perform PMs.
  • Disposition to Operate and Lead production lines.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • General understanding of machine operation in manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail and quality a must.
  • Acceptable coordination, including eye-hand, balance; dexterity of hands and fingers with
    repetition.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced meat processing environment.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends.
